Shadow Dungeon Builds: Bone Archer Starter Build

Copy a launch-period Shadow Dungeon Bone Archer starter build, then compare the verified talent, weapon, set, Paragon, and Rift framework for all four classes.

Quick Answer

The full game is live, but launch-period build testing is still developing. For a practical first setup, use the Necromancer’s Undead Emissary tree, max Bone Archer and its summon-count upgrade, support it with companion-damage talents, and stack Bone Archer trigger affixes on gear.

Build directory

Shadow Dungeon left the Demo stage when the full version launched on August 26, 2026. Build discovery is still in its launch period: balance is moving, the equipment pool is enormous, and many community setups do not yet publish a complete skill and gear record.

This page starts with one copyable community-sourced leveling direction instead of pretending that four settled best builds already exist. The remaining class sections are planning tracks based on official class identities and will only become full loadouts when their skill order, gear requirements, and test conditions can be reproduced.

Verified build framework

The official Steam store says players can combine weapons and skills to create hybrid builds and find a preferred playstyle. It also confirms unlimited skill points in late-game progression. This supports experimentation inside a character’s progression, but it does not prove cross-class talent access or remove the need to document each build choice.

OO Cat’s full-release announcement adds more than 1,000 weapon affixes across Basic, Special, Negative Effects, Skills, and Summoning Skills. It also lists 2,400 weapon-granted skills, including auras, traps, skill conversions, projectile-blocking shields, combo launchers, and several summoned-creature categories. Those are official build layers, not a list of guaranteed optimal affixes.

Each class has fifteen armor sets, and most sets include affixes that alter skill forms. The reviewed official sources do not yet publish the exact set names, thresholds, and values, so this hub links to the set data page instead of inserting fictional best-in-slot tables. After level 100, Paragon progression and Greater Rift systems add further layers that require separate current-build testing.

Necromancer Bone Archer starter build

This is a focused physical-summon setup for campaign progression. It combines the current Undead Emissary skill data with a full-release Steam discussion in which players report scaling Bone Archer through repeated gear-trigger affixes. It is not presented as an official or universally best build.

Talent priority

  1. Start in Undead Emissary. Use Skeleton Warrior while building the required archetype points.
  2. Max Soul Sacrifice 4/4 for the permanent companion-damage bonus. Add Bone Piercer as physical penetration becomes available.
  3. Max Skeleton Warrior 4/4 and Summoning Mastery 3/3. These provide the first reliable bodies and attack-speed support while leveling.
  4. Add Death Sentry 4/4 and Bone Rampage 3/3 as the second physical summon layer.
  5. Unlock Bone Archer, then take Bone Archer 4/4 and Bone Mastery 3/3 first. Bone Mastery increases the summon count by one per upgrade level.
  6. Add Blood Pool and work toward Soul Surge and Bloodthirsty Rage. Cast it near the army to improve summon movement and damage.
  7. Finish Bone Piercer 4/4 and Mind Blast 4/4 after the core summon package. Treat bleed upgrades as optional until the physical-summon loop is stable.

Core loadout and gear checklist

  • Keep Bone Archer, Skeleton Warrior, Death Sentry, and Blood Pool available as the core summon package.
  • On main hand, off hand, body, and head slots, look for affixes worded like “Bone Archer has a chance to use skill…”. Multiple trigger pieces are the build’s defining gear layer.
  • Prioritize companion damage, additional Bone Archer skill levels, physical damage, physical penetration, and physical-damage gems.
  • Upgrade the weapon and off-hand item that match the physical minion setup before spreading resources across unrelated elemental effects.

Combat loop

Summon the army before entering a dense room, place Blood Pool where the minions will fight, and stay behind the front line while Bone Archer trigger affixes fire through repeated minion attacks. Against bosses, keep the army inside the Blood Pool area and replace off-theme gear before adding more unrelated skills.

Sorcerer builds

The official class identity is elemental magic. A Sorcerer build can therefore be organized around a verified elemental theme, talent choices, weapon-granted skills, and set interactions. Exact tree names, leveling order, skill-bar setup, and damage values are not official structured data in the current source set.

A publishable Sorcerer build must show every selected skill, point order, weapon and armor dependency, current level, and test environment. It should distinguish story progression from Greater Rift testing. Until that evidence exists, this page labels the class direction as verified while withholding an untested loadout.

Holy Warrior builds

OO Cat describes the Holy Warrior as a dual-blade class. That gives the build track a clear combat identity without proving a particular damage type, defensive role, beginner ranking, or named skill. Media labels such as Paladin are not promoted into the official English name on this page.

Future Holy Warrior builds should document how a dual-blade setup interacts with talent allocation, weapon affixes, granted skills, and armor-set effects. A build that performs well in one chapter cannot be called best for all four Greater Rift difficulties without comparable tests.

Archer builds

The official Archer identity is deadly precision. The store does not publish a verified best bow, range threshold, attack-speed target, talent order, or survivability breakpoint. This section therefore treats precision as the design anchor and does not publish unsupported numeric recommendations.

A complete Archer entry needs the same evidence as every other class: current build, character level, exact skills, points, equipment, runes, test map, difficulty, and repeatable result. It must not reuse a demo-era setup as a full-release recommendation.

Necromancer builds

The Necromancer officially summons demons and skeletons. The full-release equipment system also includes Summoning Skills, Summoned Creature Accessories, and Summoned Creature Attacks with Additional Skills. These facts establish a deep summoning build space without proving a named minion skill or maximum summon count.

A verified Necromancer build should separate character actions from summoned-creature effects and identify which results come from weapons, talents, sets, or runes. Minion AI, boss survival, and best-in-slot claims remain unverified until tested under stated conditions.

What a tested build needs

Every recommended build must include the game build or date, class, level, talent allocation, active skills, weapon affixes, equipment set, granted skills, runes, and target content. It should record story or Greater Rift difficulty and describe whether the goal is leveling, clearing, boss damage, survival, or convenience. Unsupported fields are omitted or clearly labeled as not yet verified.

A single successful run is not a universal tier ranking. Balance, item randomness, and player execution can change the result, while official sources emphasize enormous equipment variety. This hub will add copyable builds only when the setup can be reproduced and the page can explain both requirements and limits.

This hub should be reviewed after every talent, skill, weapon-affix, set, Paragon, or Greater Rift balance change. Verified frameworks stay visible, while exact recommendations receive version labels and can be replaced without creating competing pages.
